Profile Cheshire Engraving Services Limited was formed in 1992 where we produced both Laser engraved ceramic and chrome plated Anilox Rollers. The Directors of Cheshire Engraving Services were involved in the early development of Ceramic coatings/Laser engravings and the progression into high line counts and specialist screens. Through replacement and updating programmes Cheshire Engraving Services has always been at the forefront of technological changes, for example, it was the first Company to offer double burn engravings to enhance cell release. Our lasers encompass High-powered CO 2, sealed CO 2 and YAG. All these units are equipped with modulators to produce multi burn cells. Virtually all engravings are produced in this mode, to give a cleaner, well-defined cell aiding ink release and cleaning. The Company engraves rollers from 70 mm to 5000 mm face length. The largest engraver is equipped with both CO 2 and YAG lasers. This gives full capability for engraving all types of rollers with screens from 30 LPI to 1600 LPI. In 2001 the Company invested in a purpose built site, which enabled it to expand its in house facilities, as Cheshire prides itself on producing its own rollers from start to finish. The Company expanded progressively into many market areas, which includes flexible packaging, corrugated, envelope, narrow web, offset and coatings.
