Anilox sleeves are becoming a favoured design in many of the new printing machines.
The benefits of its lightweight construction and easy handling have reduced the possibility of damaging the sleeve during changeover. For example, the weight of a conventional roller of 200kg can now be reduced to only 15kg, making it easy for 1 person to transport and install as the sleeve simply slots onto a mandrel.
The preparation time has now been reduced from hours to minutes, enabling printers to stock and use a wide range of Anilox specifications.
Anilox sleeves are made from a glass reinforced plastic which is fitted with an aluminium layer. This enables the sleeves to be ceramic coated and laser engraved. We can both manufacture and refurbish/repair the sleeves in the same way as a conventional Anilox roller. |
